During its recent annual meeting, the membership of the Planned Giving Council of Cape Cod voted to change the organization’s name to be Philanthropy Partners of the Cape and Islands.
President Jean McCutcheon and Director of Development of Cape Cod Academy in Osterville said:”We have been discussing the name change for a while as the old name really did not quite cover all of our activities, which are aimed at the greater community of non-profits and estate planners on Cape Cod and the Islands.
We have been successfully planning and executing Philanthropy Day on Cape Cod for 15 years, supplemented by quarterly luncheon meetings and other networking and educational activities during the year.
We are excited about this new name and we look forward to many more years of great support of non-profit professionals, volunteers, and estate planners on Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket.”
At the recent Annual Meeting of the Philanthropy Partners of the Cape and Islands, Brenda Swain, Executive Director of the Falmouth Service Center was voted in to join the board of Directors.
Karen Bissonnette, Chief Development Officer for the Community Health Center of Cape Cod in Mashpee, rotated off the board after six wonderful years of service.
